On March 15, 2021, IE RAS Director Аl.А. Gromyko took part in the discussion «Emotions and language as escalation factors, safe methods of peace-keeping and prospects of Russian-German rapprochement in 2021» in the «Moscow talks» cycle.

On March 15, 2021 the Institute of Europe RAS and the Institute of Africa RAS organized and held the meeting of International interparty expert group on cooperation of Russia, Europe and Africa, moderated by IE RAS Director Аl.А. Gromyko.

On March 12, 2021, scientific researcher of IE RAS Department of Black and Mediterranean seas studies М.L. Коlesnikova joined the jury board of International student intercollege scientific and practical conference «Strategies of the Global ocean economy development».

On March 11, 2021, Deputy Director IE RAS, Head of Department of Country studies, Head of Center for German studies V.B. Belov took part in the international business forum «Transformations of regions in modern conditions».

On March 5, 2021 the Institute of Europe RAS held the round table discussion, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Visegrad group.

On December 25, 2020, The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the Decree on conducting the Year of Science and Technology in Russia in 2021.

On February 26-27, 2021, Deputy Director IE RAS, Head of Department of Country studies and Center for German studies V.B. Belov took part in online conference «Common European Home: for Europe Striving for Peace», organized by «Cooperation for Peace» union supported by Weimar initiative «World without Weapons» and Rosa Luxemburg foundation (Germany).

The leading Russian information agency TASS published an article by Аl.А. Gromyko, RAS Corresponding member, IE RAS Director, dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of the Warsaw Pact dissolution.

On February 25, 2021, Al.А. Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe RAS, delivered a speech at round-table discussion of the Russian Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs «On the concept of international convention against intrusion in sovereign affairs of countries».

On February 22, 2021, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Al.A. Gromyko and Head of IE RAS Centre for UK Studies E.V. Ananieva took part in online presentation and discussion of the book by Markos Papadopoulos "Arise, Rossiya: The Return of Russia to World Politics", organized with support of Rossotrudnichestvo. Moderator – Anton Chesnokov, Director of the Russian Culture House (London).

On February 19, 2021, leading scientific researcher of Department of Economic studies IE RAS N.V. Govorova took part in international scientific conference «Gender equality policy as a factor of sustainable development of modern states: possibilities and challenges in digitalization era».
