On March 16, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko, by invitation of Southern Federal University, gave the speech «Victories and defeats of Europe: new risks and possibilities» at the conference «To the 60th anniversary of the Rome Treaty: European integration and European memory».

On March 2017, IE RAS hosted Oxford University Professor Christopher Davis with presentation «Russia’s Economic and Military Relations with Europe and Asia from the Ukraine Conflict to 2020: Power Balances, Partnerships, and Economic Warfare».

On March 13, 2017, «Nezavisimaya newspaper» launched a series of articles, attributed to the 30th anniversary of IE RAS. The opening title «Spring colds in the tulip country» was written by V.Y. Schveytzer, Head of IE RAS Department of social and political studies.

In March 2017 IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko visited UK to take part in a series of leading expert discussions on the current state of international relations set forth by Brexit and D. Trump's election as the US President.

IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member, Al.A. Gromyko gave an interview to «Historical expertise» journal, headlined «There is no alternative to globalization. But there could be an alternative to globalization management models».

On March 1, 2017, Head of IE RAS Center for French Studies Y.I. Rubinsky participated in interinstitutional round table «French presidential election 2017», held in Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations.

On February 28, 2017, the round table discussion «Russian-American relations: prospects and reality» was held in the Russian State Duma by the International Affairs Committee.

On February 27, 2017, Igor Sherbak, Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary, Leading scientific associate IE RAS, visited the festive opening ceremony of the 11^th  Model UN session at Lomonosov Moscow State University. 

On February 24, 2017, Dr. Roman Lunkin, senior scientific associate IE RAS, spoke to students, faculty and staff about religion, politics and society in Russia in Baylor University (Texas, USA).

On February 24, 2017, Vladislav Belov, Deputy Director of IE RAS, took part in the conference «New rules, new spaces – opportunities in Russia and in the Eurasian Union» organized by Russian-German Chamber of Commerce and the Eastern Committee of German Economy at the House of German Economy (Berlin).
