Days of Russia in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

On May 25, 2016, deputy IE RAS Director V.B. Belov took part in «Days of Russia in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern» forum in Rostok (FRG).

Welcome speeches were delivered by Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Prime-minister E. Sellering, Russian Minister for Industry and Trade D. Manturov, First deputy Russian Minister for Economy А. Likhachev, Leningrad region Governor А. Drozdenko. German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy S. Gabriel addressed the forum with salutation address during gala night. Among other things, he called for gradual withdrawal of anti-Russia sanctions.

The forum participants discussed problems and prospects of Russian-German economic cooperation on federal and regional levels with special stress on energy, industry, agriculture, logistics, science and education. D. Manturov and E. Sellering signed Joint statement of intentions on cooperation in industrial production between Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Government.
