On November 17, 2016, Deputy Director IE RAS V.B. Belov in Berlin took part in podium discussion «Russia and the West: the struggle of values?», organized by Association of German and Russian Economists and Humboldt University.
The discussion, moderated by Prof. F. Hubert, was attended by political scientist and deputy Head of Russian Economy Union in Germany А. Rahr and founder and head of internet media «Dekoder» М. Kros. Special focus was made on common and peculiar features in perception of the European values by Russian and Western societies and the way this perception affects the internal and foreign policy of Russia.
