International conference in London

On November 9-10, 2018 Alexey Gromyko, RAS Corresponding member, Olga Butorina, Doctor in Economics, and Olga Potemkina, Doctor in Politics, represented the Institute of Europe RAS at the University Consortium’s third Annual Conference «Relations between Russia and the Rest of Europe within a Shifting Global Environment».

The conference was supported by European Leadership Network, led by Sir Adam Thomson. Institutional partners of the project include leading Russian, British and American universities and scientific centers. The project is joined by experts from Poland, Germany, Finland, France and other countries. The scientific head of Consortium is Dr Julie M. Newton, Principal Investigator, St Antony’s College, Oxford University. Al.A. Gromyko gave a speech at a plenary session on «Estimation of trends for (des)integration in Europe and Eurasia». The issues of European and Eurasian security, current state of international relations and the role of USA were discussed as well.
