Bilateral Russian-British expert seminar on security

On January 19-20, 2017, in London, the bilateral Russian-British expert seminar on security in relations between Russia and UK took place. The participants were addressed by RIAC President Igor Ivanov and former UK Foreign Minister Sir Malcolm Rifkind. IE RAS was represented by Head of Center for British studies Е.V. Аnanieva.

The seminar was conducted under the joint project of RIAC and Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies (RUSI) – leading British analytical center for defense issues. It was attended by 20 experts, former state officials and diplomats, involved in the problems of nuclear and conventional weapons, European security architecture, regional crises, non-proliferation of mass destruction weapons, counteraction to international terrorism and non-traditional security threats.
