All-Russian conference of young scientists

On June 6, 2017, IE RAS held All-Russian conference of young scientists «The future of Europe: global challenges and possible answers», organized by IE RAS Council of young scientists.
The event was attended by over 30 young scientists, post-graduates and students from IE RAS, Primakov IMEMO RAS, Institute of Africa RAS, MGIMO University, Lomonosov MSU, MSLU and other scientific institutions.
The conference was opened by Head of IE RAS Council of young scientists, leading scientific associate of Department of social and political studies Roman Lunkin. The first session, led by senior scientific associate of IE RAS Department of European integration Lyubov Bisson, discussed the future of the EU after Brexit. The next session, led by assistant Professor MPSU Daria Bazarkina, was on the global role of the EU in the changing world. Deputy Director IE RAS V.B. Belov opened the third session, devoted to the challenge of populism in Europe and new grounds for Euroskepticism. The session was led by deputy Head of IE RAS Center for German studies Еkaterina Timoshenkova. Senior scientific associate of IE RAS and assistant Professor of MGIMO University Anna Tzibulina led the session on problems and sources of economic growth in the EU. The conference was concluded by the discussion of cooperation and future dialogue between Russia and the EU.
IE RAS Council of young scientists thanks all the participants and hopes for continuation of the scientific discussion in modern European studies among young scientists.
