Russian-German seminar «New Basics of Dialogue and General Ideas of Political Vocabulary»

On April 6, 2016, IE RAS Director Al.А. Gromyko and Deputy Head of IE RAS Center for German Studies Е.P. Timoshenkova participated in Russian-German seminar «New Basics of Dialogue and General Ideas of Political Vocabulary», organized by the Russian State Duma, German-Russian Forum and Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Foundation.

This seminar was the first meeting of Russian and German parliamentary delegations with representatives of expert communities of both countries over a long period of time. The first part of the event was moderated by Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma S.V. Zheleznyak. Then the seminar moved to the Duma Smaller Hall where the participants heard the speeches of the Chairman of the Russian State Duma S.Е. Naryshkin, Chairman of the Management Board of the German-Russian Forum M. Platzeck, Аl.А. Gromyko, А. Rahr.

The third part, moderated by Аl.А. Gromyko and А. Rahr, took part in Alexander Gorchakov Foundation, discussing the prospects of Russian-German relations, opportunities for dialogue in the new conditions, necessity of the European history lessons reconsideration for restoring the trust, strengthening the security and building the fair world order.
