Visit of CDU economic council delegation

On October 2, 2017, IE RAS hosted CDU economic council delegation of Schleswig-Holstein federal land (Germany).
The meeting, organized by IE RAS Center for German studies, took the form of round table «Relations of Russia with the EU and Germany: present state and prospects». It was moderated by Deputy IE RAS Director V.B. Belov, who greeted the participants of behalf of IE RAS Director Al.A. Gromyko. Welcome speeches were delivered by: Head of CDU economic council Dr. B. Zitscher and delegation speaker L. Osterhoff.
V.B. Belov presented the introductory report on the acute state of Russia – EU relations, and prospects of EU – EAEU relations. Deputy Head of IE RAS Center for German studies E.P. Timoshenkova spoke on results of Bundestag election and following prospects of development of political, scientific, technological and economic cooperation between Russia and Germany. The discussion of the reports and other topics was shared by: N.К. Меden (MGIMO), Е.V. Romanova (IE RAS), L. Osterhoff, Schleswig-Holstein landtag deputy T. Loose, Corporate Innovation adviser O. Birkner.
