IE RAS presents Analytical papers of IE RAS No 7, 2026 «EU Multiannual Financial Framework 2028–2034: start of the discussion» (in Russian) by Nataliya Kondratieva, Candidate of Science (Economics), Leading Researcher at the Department of European Integration, Head of the Center for Economic Integration, Scientific secretary, Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The article explores a draft of the EU medium-term budget "Multi-annual Financial Framework" for 2028–2034. Major lines and controversial ideas are analysed. Criticism of the project by participants of the EU decision-making process and competence centres is studied. The author forecasts that negotiations on the project will be delayed until the final EU summit in 2027.
