On 19 August 2024, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide presented Norway's Strategy for Engagement with Africa. This document is Norway's second strategy for Africa since the first one adopted in 2008. The author analyses its main provisions and deliberates on its practical significance for Norway's foreign policy on the continent, its impact on international competition in Africa.
