IE RAS will establish Department of European and international studies in the Institute of world civilizations

On April 19, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko and President of the Institute of world civilizations (IWC), Prof. O.N. Slobotchikov signed the Agreement establishing the Department of European and international studies in IWC.
The creation of the Department aims at uniting the potential of IE RAS and IWC through integration of science and higher education for improvement of academic and practical training of students and post-graduates in regional studies. The parties plan to merge the achievements of science and the research potential of higher education by involving students in the scientific research supervised by IE RAS associates. The research results will be published in IE RAS scientific journal «Contemporary Europe» and collections of IWC articles.
The Department will provide for joint creative teams’ scientific research, joint scientific and pedagogical schools and scientific conferences with participation of students, post-graduates and young scientists or IWC and IE RAS. The parties agreed that the Department will be led by IWC Professor and IE RAS leading scientific associate, Dr. B.P. Guseletov, who was present at the signing as well. Besides, the parties signed the Agreement on IWC students and post-graduates internship in IE RAS.
