On June 19, 2017, IE RAS Center for British Studies held the annual round table «Theresa May’s government - a year in power. Results of the early general election».
The participants examined performance of the first government of T. May, shared views on the political impacts of the snap general election, provided insight into main aspects of UK politics, foreign policy, economy, and the current status of Russia-UK bilateral relations.
The discussion was moderated by Dr V. Belov (Deputy Director of IE RAS and Head of Department of Country Studies) and Dr E. Ananieva (Head of Center for British Studies). Reports were presented by leading British studies experts of RAS, universities, and Russian government authorities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economic Development.
The event was attended by historians and political scientists from regional research organisations and universities, think-tanks, academic journals, as well as junior researchers and PhD students.
