On March 23, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko participated in the round table «Shipbuilding and navigation: securing Russian national interests», held in MGIMO University and attributed to the 10th anniversary of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).
Al.А. Gromyko’s speech was devoted to the EU shipbuilding strategy. The event, moderated by MGIMO President, RAS Academician А.V. Torkunov, hosted the speeches of: Deputy Minister of Industy and Trade О.N. Ryazantzev, USC President А.L. Rakhmanov, USC Vice-President, IE RAS doctorate student D.R. Pollyeva, Director of the Fourth European Department of Russian Foreign Ministry А.А. Botzan-Kharchenko, representatives of MGIMO Law faculty, Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Federal agency of sea and river transport and others. А.L. Rakhmanov and А.V. Torkunov signed the memorandum on bilateral cooperation.
