Election conference of "Russia – Germany" Society

On May 18, 2016, deputy IE RAS Director V.B. Belov, deputy Head of IE RAS Center for German Studies Е.P. Тimoshenkova and post-graduate student f the Center А. Ivanova took part in election conference of "Russia – Germany" Society.
While discussing the results of Society’s activities since 2010, the participants underlined that in current complicated political situation the Society promotes development of friendly and trust-based relations with various layers of German society, non-governmental organizations and business community. The activities of Society form an important element of the "soft power" of the Russian foreign policy, and therefore they require more attention and specific support of the state. The conference determined priorities of the Society for coming years, reflected in the resolution adopted.
О.М. Мironova was elected President of the Society, Y.V. Roslyak – Honorary President, V.I. Mitryaev – Executive Secretary. Deputy IE RAS Director, Corresponding member RAS V.P. Fedorov and chief scientific associate IE RAS, Professor I.F. Maximychev were elected Honorary members of the Society. V.B. Belov was elected member of Presidium of the Society Board.
