Europe of different speeds

On March 16, 2017, Deputy IE RAS Director V.B. Belov, Head of Department of Social and Political Studies V.Y. Schweitzer and leading scientific associate S.M. Fyodorov took part in Roman Babayan’s TV program «Pravo golosa» on the subject of «Europe of different speeds».

IE RAS scientists shared their thoughts on current situation in Europe and prospects of European integration. V.B. Belov thoroughly characterized the modern EU, including its leading members, peculiarities of German political party system transformation and prospects of forthcoming Bundestag elections in September, 2017. V.Y. Schweitzer analyzed the results of parliamentary elections in the Netherlands and made a forecast on possible evolution of the right-wing populist forces in Europe. S.M. Fedorov, in turn, focused on the ups and downs of current presidential campaign in France.
