Seminar «Russia – West relations: new modus vivendi»

On December 7, 2016, Head of IE RAS Department of Central and Eastern European Studies L.N. Shishelina took part in the seminar «Russia – West relations: new modus vivendi», organized by Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) together with Robert Bosch Center of German International Affairs Council (DGAP), Transatlantic Relations Center of the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University (SIAS) and Robert Bosch Foundation (Robert Bosch Stiftung).
The seminar covered the following issues: Russia – West relations in security; prospects of economic and energy cooperation; Eastern Europe in Russia – West relations; new agenda of Russia – West relations.
The event was attended by experts from Russia, USA, EU, RIAC members and diplomatic mission representatives: EU Ambassador to Russia Vygaudas Ušackas; Deputy Chief of US Mission in RF Lynne Tracy; Executive director of Transatlantic Relations Center of Johns Hopkins University Daniel Hamilton; Head of Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia Programs of Robert Bosch Center of German International Affairs Council Stefan Meister; Director of Polish Institute of International Relations Slavomir Dembsky; Scientific Head of Institute of USA and Canada RAS, RIAC member Sergey Rogov; Director of RAS Situation Analysis Center, Primakov IMEMO RAS Board member, RIAC member Vladimir Baranovsky; Novatek Chairman Counsellor Vladimir Nazarov and others.
The seminar was opened by RIAC General Director Andrey Kortunov and Head of Department of International Relations, America and Asia of Robert Bosch Foundation Christian Hänel.
