To the 25th anniversary of the Visegrad group

On March 4, 2016, IE RAS held round table meeting, devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Visegrad group, with presentation of the special edition of “Contemporary Europe” journal, dedicated to this event, and collection of speeches at the 10th International scientific conference “Russia and the Central Europe in New Geopolitical Reality”, held in IE RAS in September 2015.
The meeting was attended by the Visegrad group diplomats, accredited in Moscow, Russian diplomats, scientists of IE RAS and their colleagues from other RAS institutes, professors of various Moscow universities.
The welcome addresses, presented by IE RAS Director, Professor Al.A. Gromyko and Deputy Ambassador of Czech Republic – the country which holds the presidency of the Visegrad group now – Petr Krouzek, were followed by a lively discussion, chaired by Head of IE RAS Center for Visegrad Studies L.N. Shishelina.
