Videobridge «The Trump factor in the European politics. Views from Moscow and Berlin»

On January 26, 2017, Deputy IE RAS Director V.B. Belov took part in Moscow – Berlin videobridge «The Trump factor in the European politics. Views from Moscow and Berlin», organized by MIA «Russia today».
The participants discussed the following questions: «What can change in the EU-US relations? Should changes in the EU-Russia relations be expected? What’s the future of Moscow-Berlin relations? Will Europeans, as already put by the leaders of Germany and France, be prepared to «take their destiny in their own hands», not relying on the «firm shoulder of the elder brother» from across the ocean anymore? Will the US, whose military bases are scattered all over Europe (in Germany in the first place), let Europeans to be more independent in building European security and defense?»
The videobridge was attended by: Head of MSU Department of international organizations and global political processes А.А. Sidorov; Bundestag deputy (Left party) А. Khunko; member of International peace policy society I. Scholz; diplomat, disarmament and arms control expert, political scientists, Dr. H. Thielicke.
