Center for Macroeconomic Studies
One of the important research areas of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences is related to the study of macroeconomic processes in European countries. In order to activate analytical work at the Institute, the Center for Macroeconomic Research was established in 2022.
The main directions of his work are:
- identification of trends in the economic development of European countries;
- monitoring of the main macroeconomic indicators of the enlarged groups of European countries;
- assessment of the macrostructural shifts in the economies of European countries in the rapidly changing conditions of international relations;
- analysis of trends in economic dynamics, external economic indicators of economic development and the real sector of the economy of European countries;
- a study of the problems of economic policy in European countries.
The results of research in these areas are published in leading publishing houses in Russia and abroad. The Center cooperates with many academic institutions and universities – Lomonosov Moscow State University, MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, RANEPA and others, as well as with public non-governmental organizations. The Center prepares analytical materials, proposals and recommendations for government authorities of the Russian Federation.
The Center's staff make plenary and sectional presentations at international and All-Russian scientific and practical conferences. The Center is a co-organizer of a number of conferences at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in particular, it participates in organizing the Moscow Academic Economic Forum at the IE RAS.
Natalia Aleksandrovna Nevskaya is the head of the Center for Macroeconomic Studies.
