“British World: Experience of Social, Political, and Cultural Development”

On March 22-23, 2018, Head of the IE RAS British Studies center E.V. Ananieva took part in the international scientific conference “British World: Experience of Social, Political, and Cultural Development”, which was held in Saint Petersburg.
More than 100 Anglicists attended the event organized by the SPbU History Faculty and the Institute of World History RAS.
The reports were dedicated to a wide range of topics in terms of their timeframe, from the Middle Ages till the beginning of the XXI century. The scholars considered the dynamics of power relations, confessional processes, political transformations, political strategies, social practices, socio-cultural processes, and the variety of individual reflections in Britain.
E.V. Ananieva presented her report “The Strategy and Tactics of Britain’s Major Political Parties in the wake of Brexit.”
