Conference «Russia and EU: ways of development and prospects»

On November 17, 2016 in Rostov-on-Don Deputy Director IE RAS О.V. Butorina took part in the opening ceremony of the international scientific and practical conference «Russia and EU: ways of development and prospects».
The forum was organized by Rostov State Economic University with support of Federal National and Cultural Autonomy «Greeks of Russia». On behalf of IE RAS Director, Corresponding member RAS Аl.А. Gromyko, О.V. Butorina congratulated the University with 85th anniversary and urged the students to study the culture and history of Europe, as a basis for understanding Russia that made tremendous contribution to the European civilization and received a lot in return, having preserved its cultural peculiarities. «Without understanding which part of the Russian identity is European and which is not, it is not possible to truly love your Motherland, be a patriot and a citizen», - О.V. Butorina stated.
