“Donbas and the Prospects of EU, Ukraine and Russia Relations” project

On February 15-16 in Brussels IE RAS Director Al.A. Gromyko represented Russia in a series of events within «Donbas and the Prospects of EU, Ukraine and Russia Relations» project, organized by Brussels office of Hanns Seidel Foundation (Bayern) headed by C. Forstner.
Germany and Ukraine were represented in the discussions by
Т. Mayr-Harting, Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Action Service, S.А. Таruta, Deputy of Verkhovna Rada and former Governor of Donbas region, Andrei Veselovskiy, former Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, former Ukraine Representative in EU, Oleksiy Melnyk, Co-director, Foreign Relations and International Security Programs, Razumkov Center, О. Karas, Chairman of Russia–EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, Heads of Hanns Seidel Foundation offices in Russia and Moldova М. Ehm and D. Seiberling.
Among the events there were a meeting with H.-D. Lucas, Permanent Representative of Germany to NATO, expert round table in «East - West» Institute, opinion exchange with E. Brok, Chairman of European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs.
The participants shared their thoughts on causes and ways of settling the conflict in the East of Ukraine, prospects of Minsk-2 agreement realization and normalization of relations between Russia, Ukraine and EU.
