Meeting with American experts

On October 31, 2016 IE RAS hosted American experts on fighting terrorism and violent extremism, headed by representative of the National Academies of Sciences USA Glenn Schweitzer.
The American party was represented by: Gary LaFree (director of the National Center for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism and Global terrorism database, University of Maryland), David Laitin (Stanford University), Scott Atran (University of Michigan, Oxford University and Есole Normal Superieure), Audrey Cronin (American University).
IE RAS was represented by: Deputy Director, Corresponding member RAS М.G. Nosov, head of Department of European security D.А. Danilov, Head of Center for religion and society studies R.N. Lunkin. The parties discussed the problems of fighting terrorism and possible cooperation of IE RAS with American scientific institutions in the sphere of global terrorism research.
