Working visit of Аl.А. Gromyko to Italy

In April-May 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko took part in a series of events in Italy.
On April 30, with support of Russian Foreign Ministry, the conference of organizations, united by the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots in Italy (CCRCI), took place in Palermo. The Council is co-chaired by L. Terzago and Y. Minsker. The conference delegates heard the speeches of: L. Orlando, Mayor of Palermo, famous for his long-term struggle with organized crime and large-scale modernization projects, М.V. Коlоmbet, Consul General of Russia in Palermo, representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo and Moscow Government. Аl.А. Gromyko greeted the conference on behalf of IE RAS, RAS Professors Council, Association of European Studies and shared his opinion on the state of Russian-Italian relations.
On May 2, in Rome, Al.A. Gromyko met with the Russian Ambassador to Italy S.S. Razov and discussed scientific and expert cooperation of IE RAS with Italian partners.
On May 3 Аl.А. Gromyko discussed with heads of UNINT University (Rome), one of the largest private universities in Italy, and EURISPIS research center the formats of trilateral cooperation. UNINT University President, Professor G. Bisogni and Al.A. Gromyko agreed to launch a number of joint projects by the end of 2017.
