On March 15-16, 2016, MGIMO University of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs held international conference «To the 70th Anniversary of W. Churchill’s Speech in Fulton. The Cold War Momentum and Current International Situation», organized by the Historical Perspective Foundation and International Association of Peace Funds with support of Russian Historical Society.
The conference was attended by well-known American, European and Russian specialists and moderated by prominent German expert A. Rahr and President of the Historical Perspective Foundation N.А. Narochnitskaia.
A broad range of questions was discussed:
During the panel discussion «Is the Cold War era over? The world on the brink of the new confrontation. The XXI century threats» senior scientific associate of IE RAS, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary I.N. Sherbak delivered the speech «Strategic importance of creating a new collective system of prevention and settlement of crisis situations».
