Lecture in Bordeaux University

On October 21, 2016, Head of IE RAS Center for British Studies, RAS expert E.V. Ananieva delivered the lecture «Brexit: causes of the referendum and its effects for UK and EU» at the Faculty of Political Science of Bordeaux University (France).
The lecture disclosed the referendum causes, inter- and intraparty referendum struggle in UK, US and EU positions, voting results and its political effects. Students were interested in the referendum as a form of direct participation of citizens in political life of the country, and proportion of direct and representative democracy.
The lecture was organized by the EU project «European identity, cultural diversity and political change». IE RAS would like to thank Caroline Dufy, project coordinator, Bordeaux University, and Matilda Utesa.
