On September 1, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko gave the public lecture «Has the European dream died?», and conducted a meeting with students of Saint Petersburg Humanities University of Trade Unions.

On August 27-29, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko represented Russia in a political symposium in Alpbach, Austria in the course of the European Forum.

On July 5, 2017, IE RAS was honored to host Managing Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia and OSCE at European external action service Luc Devigne with a lecture-seminar.

On June 14, 2017, IE RAS Department of Black and Mediterranean sea studies held international conference «Black sea cooperation as regional economic organization. Major stages, special features and prospect», attributed to the 25^th anniversary of the Organization of Black sea economic cooperation.

On June 12, 2017, Deputy Director of IE RAS V.B. Belov took part in the podium discussion «EU-Russia relations – between cooperation and confrontation», in Vienna in International Institute for Peace.

On June 7-9, 2017, Deputy Director IE RAS V.B. Belov and Head of IE RAS Department of European security D.А. Danilov took part in international IX Future Forum «Continuity in change», traditionally held in Vakerbart castle (Germany).

On June 8, 2017, IE RAS held international scientific and practical conference «Religious diversity in the Crimea after 2014».

On June 7, 2017, IE RAS Director Al.A. Gromyko gave a speech at the parliamentary hearings in the Federation Council «Prevention of interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation: legislature and law application practice».

On June 6, 2017, within «Dialogue of Russia and the EU» project of Moscow office of Friedrich Naumann Foundation, the round table «German parliamentary election 2017 and its impact on Russian-German relations» was held, co-organized by IE RAS.

On June 6, 2017, IE RAS held All-Russian conference of young scientists «The future of Europe: global challenges and possible answers», organized by IE RAS Council of young scientists.

On June 5, 2017, Deputy Director IE RAS V.B. Belov and Head of IE RAS Department of social and political studies V.Y. Schveytzer took part in «The Western world is shrinking?» broadcast («Pravo golosa» talk show, TVC channel).
