On April 24, 2017, leading scientific associate of IE RAS Department of social and political studies S.М. Fedorov commented in Russian mass media the results of the first round of Presidential election in France.

On April 20, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko participated in a meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council of the Russian Federation Council Chairman with the speech «The role and place of the Federation Council in solving the acute problems of Russian internal and foreign policy».

On April 21, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko took part in the conference «Europe in light of the new political reality», organized by the State government faculty of MGIMO University, with the speech «European integration: the dilemma of universalism and singularity».  

On April 21, 2017, in Zurich leading scientific associate IE RAS, Dr. B.P. Guseletov presented the report «100 years of the Russian revolution 1917: lessons unlearned» at the international conference «Russian revolution 1917: views of modern historians, diplomats and political scientists».

On April 20, 2017, in Moscow Deputy Director IE RAS V.B. Belov took part in two Russian-German round tables, devoted to prospects of cooperation between Russia and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern federal land in logistics and alternative energy.

On April 19, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko and President of the Institute of world civilizations (IWC), Prof. O.N. Slobotchikov signed the Agreement establishing the Department of European and international studies in IWC.

On April 19, 2017, leading scientific associate of IE RAS Center for party and political studies, Dr. B.P. Guseletov took part in «USA-Russia: the red line» discussion («Pravo golosa» talk show, TVC channel).

Institute of Europe, Russian Academy of Sciences, is known abroad as one of the strongest think tanks providing expertise on European integration, security systems, political and economic peculiarities of the continent's countries and regions, Europe's joint cooperation strategies and Russia's role in modern Europe. In 2017, Institute of Europe celebrates 30 years of its establishment.

On April 14, 2017, IE RAS held the round table «Possible scenarios of development of the conflict in the Eastern Ukraine» attended by experts from IMEMO RAS, MGIMO University and RSUH.

On April 13, 2017, IE RAS associates headed by Deputy Director V.B. Belov took part in series of events of Hanns Seidel Foundation Moscow office in «National» hotel, devoted to various aspects of Bavarian and Russian medium businesses and their cooperation.

On April 11, 2017, senior scientific associate of IE RAS Department of Black and Mediterranean Sea region studies S.А. Zabelin took part in «Russia and Romania in search of building trust in the Black Sea region» round table.

On April 7, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko took part in bilateral meeting of Russian and Indian experts «Strategic dialogue Russia – India».

On April 6, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Al.A. Gromyko took part in an open session of the Interdepartmental working group of Russian Foreign Ministry on non-governmental organizations.

On April 6-7, 2017, Deputy Director IE RAS V.B. Belov in Berlin took part in international conference «east forum Berlin» and session of «From Lisbon to Vladivostok» working group. Both events were dedicated to the prospects of EU-EAEU relations.

On April 6, 2017, senior scientific associate of IE RAS Department of Black and Mediterranean sea region studies К.V. Vlasova gave the second public lecture of the federal project «Higher student school of parliamentarism» and regional project «School of deputy assistant» named: «Russia in global politics and modern international relations».

On April 5, 2017, IE RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Аl.А. Gromyko gave an interview to the influential Greek newspaper «Kathimerini».
