On February 29, IE RAS associates – Head of Center for French Studies Y.I. Rubinskiy and leading scientific associate of Department of Social and Political Studies S.М. Fedorov – participated in «Russia – France: parliamentary perspective of the future» round table discussion, organized by International Affairs Committee of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
On February 26, the Council of the Federation during «Government Hour» heard Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Chairman of State Commission on Arctic Development D.О. Rogozin. In preparation to the «Government Hour» CF Office published «Analytical Bulletin» containing article of leading scientific associate of IE RAS Center for Northern European Studies Valery Zhuravel «Russia in the Arctic. Will the State Commission Be Its Steersman?»
IE RAS presents Analytical paper №4, 2016 "The Historic Meeting in Havana" (in Russian) by Anatoliy Krasikov, Doctor of Sciences (History), Chief scientific associate of IE RAS Department of Social and Political Studies.
Cautious hopes for the “Normandy Four” talks progress in the course of Munich Security Conference were not justified. Apparently, no concrete agreement was found. The main result is the confirmation of the parties’ readiness to meet again in March.
On February 15-16 in Brussels IE RAS Director Al.A. Gromyko represented Russia in a series of events within «Donbas and the Prospects of EU, Ukraine and Russia Relations» project, organized by Brussels office of Hanns Seidel Foundation (Bayern) headed by C. Forstner.
